For many centuries the dandelion has been well cherished by children and adults alike. Perhaps many of us can recall a time when we plucked a dandelion from the ground and made a wish , watching as the seeds scattered and blew away in the wind. This so-called weed (or flower:) is revered for its amazing natural healing and medicinal properties; also, for its variety of uses in both food and drink recipes and even industrial products. There is a lot of well-known and even obscure factoids involving the dandelion, regarding its symbolic meaning, and even some unusual mystical associations surrounding this common --but very underrated--weed-flower.
